Escape the Food Trap

My Food is my Comfort
I shall not want

It makes me to lie down with
Pints of Ice Cream

And leadeth me Beside
Milk Chocolate

Food Restoreth My Soul

It Leadeth me in the Path of Yumminess

For my Tongue’s Sakes

Yea Though I walk through
the valley of Dieting

I will Fear no Tofu

For Food is With Me

My Cupcake and Snacks They Comfort Me

They Preparest a Table for Me

In the Presence of My Jelly Beans

My Plate Runneth Over

“We were made to consume food but food was never supposed to consume us.”

I received my book, bible study and DVD study over the weekend. I’m reading this book and working the lessons. I’ll be blogging about the lessons and experience. I encourage you to join me. Let’s see where God will lead us through this book.

  1. Kat, I just wanted to let you know I will be praying for you. I went through eating disorders over twenty years ago, binge eating and anorexia, and I know what a difficult struggle it is. In some ways, I think it's harder to overcome than some other addictions--you have to learn to eat responsibly and healthfully, not just abstain for the rest of your life. I don't think I will ever truly love my body or have a totally normal relationship with food, but food doesn't control me anymore and I know you can do it too. If you ever want to chat, you can email me at jbkcrochet at gmail dot com.
    Much love, Julie
